How do I inform my network manager about the installation of my solar station?
The announcement is relatively simple: you just need to inform your network manager of your new installation so that the energy production is correctly taken into account in your electricity bill.
You will certainly need to send them your station's declaration of conformity:
Declaration of Conformity: HomeFlex and Balcony Max .
We have established a non-exhaustive list of steps to follow with the following network managers:
Romande Energy
- Send an email to producteurs@romande-energie.ch to announce your acquisition.
- Attach the declaration of conformity for your solar station.
- Specify whether you wish to resell your production or favor self-consumption.
GIS
- Send an email to se@sig-ge.ch to announce your acquisition.
- Also provide your contact details in case the SIG needs to contact you.
Group E
- Send an email to info@geconnect.ch to announce your acquisition.
- Also provide your contact details in case Group E needs to contact you.
Oiken
- Contact Oiken at 027 617 30 00 ( client@oiken.ch ) to announce your acquisition.
BKW
- Fill out the form directly online on the BKW website using the following link: Plug & Play photovoltaic installation (NEW) – BKW
Viteos
- Send an email to cmel@viteos.ch to announce your acquisition.
- Also request the installation of a two-way meter if necessary.
Do I need permission to install the station?
No, you don't need a permit. You simply need to inform your electricity grid operator and your landlord (if you're a tenant) in writing when you connect your station. They just need to know. We'll send you a pre-written letter for this, and you just need to include your address and signature. In Switzerland, it's permitted to connect solar installations up to 600 W to the grid without the help of an installer.
I am a tenant, can I install a SunnyPlug station?
You must notify your landlord that you plan to install a solar power station. Furthermore, the station is portable; you can move it, and it will last for many years.
Should I declare it to my insurance to cover it against the risk of theft?
Yes, to protect it from the risk of theft or damage.
We therefore recommend that you contact your insurance company and declare your new solar equipment.
In most cases, insurers will add it to your assets at no extra cost.
How long is it guaranteed? Hail resistant?
The station is fully guaranteed for 25 years for an estimated lifespan of more than 30 years.
The solar panel is truly designed to last and withstand climatic hazards:
Hail protection : resistant up to a diameter of 25mm with an impact speed of 23m/s (83 km/h).
Maximum wind/snow load : 3600 Pa pressure and 1600 Pa vacuum according to IEC 61215*
* Test load at 5400 Pa and 2400 Pa with safety coefficient 1.5
